KOJIMA RYU

Head of Office, Vice-President, Professor Faculty of Law

Greetings

The Kyushu University Integrated Legal Office (QILO) was newly established in April 2019 as an organization that integrates university legal affairs by dissolving the International Legal Office, which began its activities in 2011, and also including the Legal and Compliance Division, which is in charge of university regulations, handling lawsuits, and ensuring compliance. As a result, a single organization now has both so-called preventive legal functions, such as support for drafting and complying with contracts, or compliance with security export control, etc., as well as clinical legal functions, such as handling disputes and responding to research misconduct. We will continue to improve Kyushu University’s internal legal environment so that we can respond quickly to changes in the social environment and appropriately promote education and research activities both domestically and internationally. As a department that practices university legal affairs, we will respond to diversifying needs, so please do not hesitate to contact us.
